As we continue to support GCSE teaching and learning during COVID-19, we’re hosting free online GCSE lessons for English, Maths, and Science on our Pearson UK Learning YouTube channel.
To help all GCSE-level students continue to engage with their English, Maths, and Science learning, we have partnered with knowledgeable and experienced subject specialists to deliver our online lessons which are suitable for all awarding bodies.
Free online GCSE Maths lessons
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 May 2020
To support maths teaching and learning during COVID-19, our Pearson Edexcel qualifications team and subject expert, Grahame Smart, are hosting twice-weekly lessons in collaboration with London Grid for Learning (LGfL).
The 45-minute live lessons are suitable for all awarding bodies and focus on showing maths at work in the real world and helping students boost their problem-solving skills. Everyone studying GCSE-level maths is welcome to join our lessons, whether you’re taking the course at school, college or remotely.
Free online GCSE English lessons
Wednesdays from 3 June 2020
To help all GCSE-level students continue to engage with English learning, our lessons will be taught by Rebecca White, a teacher for over fifteen years and currently Head of English at Oriel High School, Crawley in the UK. Rebecca has worked with PiXL, GCSE Pod and Pearson and has been an examiner for both GCSE and A level for over a decade.
She is also a part of the National Writing Project’s ‘Teacher Writes’ group, which encourages teachers to get involved in creative writing.
Free online GCSE Science lessons
Fridays from 5 June 2020
To help all GCSE-level students continue to engage with science learning, our lessons will be taught by Primrose Kitten, an experienced science teacher with a passion for helping students to achieve their best. The 45-minute online lessons are open to individual students and classes alike. There’ll be one lesson every Friday for six weeks that focuses on different topics and tailors to the various stages of science learning.
The lessons will explore the fundamental concepts from Biology, Chemistry and Physics found in the GCSE Combined Science qualification (all boards).
